For some years, Dudley Area Child Protection Committee provided high quality child protection training to staff working with children, young people and their families from a variety of different disciplines, agencies and organisations. It’s success relied heavily on the commitment of a small number of professionals to meet together, plan, co-ordinate and deliver the training to front-line staff, in addition to doing their own ‘day jobs’. Through the transition to establishing Dudley’s Safeguarding Children Board training has remained a key area of activity. This document highlights some of our achievements in this field of activity during 2005/06 and our plans and priorities for the coming 12 months and beyond.
